Vaisakhi Mela 2014 :

Hi Guys, Today I am going to share a very special post which is about Vaisakhi Festival Celebration in Calgary. Vaisakhi is also pronounced as Baisakhi, Vaishakhi, or Vasakhi is a popular festival of Sikh community which is also celebrated by Hindus and Buddhists for the different reasons including the New Year Celebration.

About Vaisakhi :

It is said that the Punjabi festival Vaisakhi is celebrated because of The beginning of the harvest season and birth of the Khalsa. This festival bears an awesome significance for the Punjabis (Sikhs) Communities since on the Vaisakhi day in the year 1699, The 10th Guru, Guru Govind Singh laid down the foundation of Panth Khalsa.

Vaisakhi Parade in Calgary :

Vaisakhi is celebrated by the Indians in the City Calgary. This is the 3rd time that Sabrang Radio Enterprises Ltd (Radio FM 94.7 & Shaw 89 T.V.) is organizing the Vaisakhi Mela Celebration in Calgary.
The venue is : Genesis Community Wellness Centre, 7556 Falcon ridge Boulevard NE, Calgary on Sunday April 20,2014 from 12:00- 4:00 PM.
